ST JOHN’S, NL – Newfoundland has rocks and hills so its going to have some of the most unique and stunning mountain bike trails and routes anywhere.  There are constructed trail systems in St John’s and Corner Brook on the west coast of the island and for the most ambitious The T’Railway which is the old railway bed across the island from Downtown St John’s to Port aux Basque on the south west corner of the island where you can connect with the Marine Atlantic super ferry and catch a ride to Nova Scotia.

You have to hand it to the road bike crowd considering how awful the roads are to navigate. Fat bikes have boomed as a winter sport in the past two years and you can find them on the upper trials of Pippy Park on fine days.
