FLATROCK, NL – Hiking in Newfoundland ranges from a simple easy  hour stroll in the the city trails or a multi day back country adventure on the East Coast Trail or the Long Range Traverse around Gros Morne on the west coast. Either way you have to go prepared. Even the easiest hike around the hills of St John’s can see fast changing weather conditions and uneven footing. While some trails are cultivated and groomed many are now. Newfoundland is a wild place and should be treated as such. …always bring water, a jacket and wear decent boots.
